The problem has a name
The asymmetry.
You were given every tool to scale a company. Frameworks, coaches, advisors, dashboards, peer groups, a whole industry built to make you better at building.
Nobody gave you anything for this.
The relationship got whatever was left at the end of the day. Not because it mattered less — because it mattered so much you assumed it would hold while you went and built.
That's the asymmetry. One side of your life got fifteen years of deliberate practice. The other side got your leftovers and a lot of good intentions.
And it held. That's the cruel part. It held so well that nothing ever forced you to look at it.
Until you started noticing what happens when you come through your own front door. Whatever you just handled — the hardest problem in the building, the call that went your way — doesn't come inside with you.
Who's teaching this?
Emma Smith, PhD
I'm Dr. Emma Smith — PhD, Existential Psychotherapist, AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
I started in the business world. I've built and run a company. And I've trained as a trauma clinician working with elite-level performers before I started working with couples, and that order matters. Understanding how a nervous system adapts to sustained pressure and performance is exactly what led me to the couples I work with now: founders and ambitious professionals who've spent years mastering control, precision, and composure, and who can't understand why none of that translates to the relationship they built it all for.
It isn't a failure of effort. You are not under-trying. You're running the wrong operating system in the wrong room.
Most therapists have techniques.
I have a worldview.
one built from years of sitting with couples who look perfect on paper and sleep six inches apart every night
Nothing is
wrong with
you.
Successful entrepreneurial households don't lose desire because the love ran out. They lose it because the exact habits that make you exceptional everywhere else — efficiency, problem-solving, staying in control — are structurally incompatible with the thing you actually want when you get home.
You're not failing at intimacy. You're succeeding at something else, all the way into the bedroom.
The distance isn't a motivation problem. It's a conditions problem. Something in the system is suppressing desire — stress, mental load, role drift, the slow disappearance of who you each were before all this. Those conditions are identifiable.
Which means they are changeable.
That's the whole reason this is worth four hours of your calendar. You don't fix what you can't name.
In this Masterclass I'll walk you through my Desire Recalibration System™ — the same framework I use with the founders and couples I work with privately — live, in one session.
This is not for every couple.
it's for the ones who relate to this:
You've built something real. The company works. The house works. The kids are fine. Your partner is someone you still respect and still love, and if I asked, you'd call them your best friend and mean it.
You are not in crisis. Nobody's filing anything. That's exactly the problem — there's no emergency to force the issue.
But somewhere in the middle of building all of it, you stopped being lovers and became co-managers. You run a household together with real competence. You just don't reach for each other anymore.
Some of you are tired of being the one who initiates. You don't want to schedule it.
Some of you are tired of it never being enough. Whatever you gave today, there was more asked of you at the end of it.
Both of you want the same thing: to be chosen. Without having to ask.
What four hours together
will give you:
diagnostics
A clear read on what is actually suppressing desire in your relationship. Not a guess, not a vibe. The specific conditions, named.
Model of desire
What ignites it and what kills it — for you, and for your partner, specifically. They are not the same. That's most of the problem right there.
The cost of Status Quo
What this is costing you outside the house: your focus, your risk tolerance, your judgment, your edge. This is a performance issue, not just a relationship one.
What to do about it
Concrete moves you can make tonight. Not someday. Not after the raise. Tonight.
Guest Experts
One afternoon. Three experts. Both sides of this thing.
former Navy seal and executive coach
Alex West
Alex West brings over 20 years of elite operational leadership experience to the domain of human performance and relational presence. As a former U.S. Navy SEAL — including with the elite SEAL Team Six, where he completed 15 combat deployments—Alex operated at the highest levels of global stakes. As an executive coach and clinician, he now specializes in helping high-performing leaders and entrepreneurs translate the grit, discipline, and mission-mode focus into connection; reframing presence as a high-skill capacity rather than a vulnerability exercise.
If "just be more vulnerable" has never once been actionable advice for you, Alex is your translator. He knows precisely how the habits that build a company erode emotional availability at home — because he's lived at the extreme end of them.
Beyond his clinical work, Alex is founder and board chair of One More Wave, a non-profit dedicated to providing world-class support and community to disabled veterans through surfing.
Pleasure coach and host of the feminine rebellion
Natty Frasca
Natty is a pleasure coach and the founder and host of The Feminine Rebellion, where she helps high-achieving women in midlife come back to desire, power, and their own pleasure. A scientist by training, she came to this work through her own life — accomplished by every visible measure, and numb underneath it — and went looking, with real rigor, for what she had lost.
What she found became her signature framework, The Pleasure Method™: that women are taught early to be pleasing, patient, and small, and that the conditioning keeps running long after they'd choose otherwise. Natty unbinds women from that programming and helps them reclaim erotic autonomy — not as something performed for a partner, but as something owned.
Why she's here: because desire that has gone quiet under a lifetime of being agreeable doesn't come back through effort or persuasion — from either side. Natty works on the part of this that no framework alone will reach.
If Any of This Sounds Familiar…
You are not the only one. This is the most common and least-discussed experience among couples who are otherwise thriving.
“We're best friends and great co-parents. We just don't want each other anymore.”
"I want to want this."
or
"I'm always the one who initiates. I'm tired of it."
“It's not bad. that's what scares me.”
“I mean, we get it in…
but there's no spark."
“the honeymoon was nice, but now it's over…”
You'll leave this masterclass feeling
hopeful
Not because I told you to.
Because for the first time you'll understand the mechanics of what's been happening — and you'll see that it's a system problem, and you are extremely good at system problems.
faq
Is this therapy?
No. Therapy is about healing and resolving distress — the "why" behind how you got here. This is coaching: future-facing, practical, skill-building. It's for functional couples who want to make a good thing extraordinary.
do I need to attend with my partner?
No. Plenty of founders register alone, and you'll get real value solo. Attending together is more powerful — but "they're not sure about this yet" is not a reason to skip it. Come, understand it, then decide what to bring home.
is this only for married couples?
No. Any committed long-term relationship belongs here.
I'm slammed. Will this be recorded?
It's built as a live experience and I'd push you to be there in real time. If you register and can't make it, a replay is available for 48 hours. Not indefinitely. This is a calendar decision, and that's on purpose.
what if we aren't in crisis, is this still for us?
Yes — that's the whole point. This is not a workshop for couples in crisis. Most people in this room call their partner their best friend. Numb is the problem we're solving.
Will This Turn into a sales pitch?
Ugh – the timeshare presentation. No. This is four hours of actual teaching — the same material I'd walk a couple through privately. There's an option at the end for anyone who wants to go further, and you can ignore it entirely. You'll leave with real insight either way.
