Why Desire

Disappears

(And the Conditions that Bring it Back)

live on zoom

14 August 2026

12 pm - 4 pm CENTRAL

This is not for every couple.

it's for couples like this:

You've built a life that looks exceptional from the outside. Careers, kids, a home you're proud of, a partner you still respect and love. You are not in crisis. You are not headed for divorce if something doesn't change tomorrow.

But what happened to the passion? The pull toward this person you used to not be able to get enough of? somewhere in the process of building all of that loveliness, you became co-managers instead of lovers

You run the household well together. You just don't want each other the way you used to…

If that's familiar, this Masterclass is for you. Because nobody ever taught you why this happens, or what to do about it.

Nothing is

wrong with

you.

High-achieving couples don't lose desire because they stop loving each other. They lose it because the same habits that make them exceptional everywhere else — efficiency, problem-solving, staying in control — are often incompatible with intimacy we seek.

Desire discrepancy isn't about lacking motivation. It's a problem of conditions and context. Something in the system is suppressing it (e.g., stress, mental load, role drift, loss of individual identity) and those conditions are identifiable. Which means they're changeable.

This is what I've spent my career studying.

In this Masterclass, I'll walk you through my Desire Recalibration System™ — the same framework I use with the couples I work with privately — live, in one session.

What four hours together

will give you:

01

clarity

A clear understanding of what's actually suppressing desire in your relationship — not a guess, a diagnosis

02

Model of desire

Decode what ignites the flames of desire, and what extinguishes it, for each of you specifically

03

The cost of Status Quo

Learn how this block in your relationship is likely affecting other important areas of your life and what to do about it

04

What to do about it

Concrete next steps you can take together tonight, not “someday”

Who's teaching this?

Emma Smith, PhD

I'm Dr. Emma Smith — PhD, Existential Psychotherapist, AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.

I trained as a trauma clinician for a decade before I specialized in desire, and that order matters. Understanding how a nervous system adapts to sustained pressure is what led me to the couples I work with now: high performers who've spent years mastering control, precision, and composure, and who can't understand why none of that translates to the bedroom. It isn't a failure of effort. It's a different system entirely.

Most therapists have techniques.

I have a worldview.

one built from years of sitting with couples who look perfect on paper and feel completely alone at home.

And I'm bringing friends….

former Navy seal, executive coach and therapist

Alex West

Alex West brings over 20 years of elite operational leadership experience to the domain of human performance and relational presence. As a former U.S. Navy SEAL — including with the elite SEAL Team Six, where he completed 15 combat deployments—Alex operated at the highest levels of global stakes. As an executive coach and clinician, he now specializes in helping high-performing leaders and entrepreneurs translate the grit, discipline, and mission-mode focus into connection; reframing presence as a high-skill capacity rather than a vulnerability exercise.

Alex understands that the same performance-under-pressure habits that build companies can unintentionally erode emotional availability in a marriage. Beyond his clinical work, Alex continues to drive impact as the founder and board chair of One More Wave, a non-profit dedicated to providing world-class support and community to disabled veterans through surfing.

Pleasure coach and host of the feminine rebellion

Natty Frasca

Natty is a pleasure coach and the founder and host of The Feminine Rebellion, where she helps high-achieving women in midlife come back to desire, power, and their own pleasure. A scientist by training, she came to this work through her own life — accomplished by every visible measure, and numb underneath it — and went looking, with real rigor, for what she had lost.

What she found became the spine of her work, and the foundation of her signature framework, The Pleasure Method™: that women are taught early to be pleasing, patient, and small, and that this conditioning keeps running under the surface long after they would choose otherwise. Natty helps women unbind from that programming and reclaim erotic autonomy — not as something to perform for a partner, but as something to own.

You'll leave this masterclass feeling

hopeful

about your relationship

And not because I told you to, but because you finally understand what is actually happening.

If Any of This Sounds Familiar…

You're not the only couple who feels this way.
This is the most common and most under-discussed experiences among couples who are otherwise thriving.

“We're best friends and great co-parents. We just don't want each other anymore.”

"I want to want this."

"It's ground into the fabric of our relationship at this point."

“I mean, we get it in…
but there's no spark."

“the honeymoon was nice, but now it's over…”

faq

Is this therapy?

No, therapy focuses on healing, resolving relationship distress and the “why” behind how couples got to where they are. Coaching is future-facing and focuses on practical tools, skill-building and setting relationship goals. It is for functional couples who want to enhance their relationship.

do I need to attend with my partner?

No, you can attend solo. But eventually, you'll probably want to bring your partner along on this journey.

is this only for married couples?

No. Our culture tends to default to marriage when referring to long term relationships. But any committed long-term relationship can attend.

Will this be recorded?

This is designed as a live experience, and I'd encourage you to be there in real time if you can. For anyone who registers but can't make it live, a replay will be available for 48 hours afterward — not indefinitely.

what if we aren't in crisis, is this still for us?

Yes! This isn't the workshop for couples in crisis. Most of the couples I work with refer to their partner as their best friend. You're in the right place!

Will This Turn into a sales pitch?

Ugh – the timeshare presentation. No, this isn't that. This Masterclass is genuinely four hours of teaching — the same material I'd walk a couple through privately. I'll include an option at the end for anyone who wants to go further, but you're not sitting through content just to get pitched. Everyone leaves with real insight — the kind couples typically pay $300/hour for in my private practice.

Bonus for Attending Live

Four hours. Live. One session.

You'll leave with more clarity about your relationship than you've had in years — and a real answer to the question you've been avoiding:

What would it actually take to want each other again?

My gift to everyone who attends: The Naming Practice for Couples ($99 value) FREE when you attend the event live!

You'll spend four hours either way — scrolling, or understanding what's actually happening in your relationship. This is where that starts.
